Transition

Transition seasons can be tough.  They can also be fun.

This transition has been an adventure for us.

When we lived in Florida, Sean and I could not do much.  We were always busy with work and working at the church.  I do not regret being so busy but we did not take vacation time or do much around town.  We also could not financially do much.  We know that our time in Florida was training for this next season for us.

Since we have left, Sean and I have done more together than we ever have.  It's been amazing.  It's been so nice to do things together and just spend leisure time together.  God has blessed us to do things.  We have gone to Waco, TX for Silobration and I've been able to go home (Alabama) 3 times to see family and friends.

It's been great to have the flexibility to do what we want to do but also to serve people throughout this time.

There were some hard parts during this time because we solely have to trust the Lord.  It's not always easy but in those hard moments I would just say, "I trust You, Lord."  It's been a great time of growing in my faith.

We know that the Lord is going to be doing some great things for us soon.  I can't wait to share the great things He does for us when that time comes!

In the mean time check out some of our photos from the Silos. :)

A New Season

It truly has been a long time since I posted on here.

I have been in a season where I have been silent.  A season where I was rediscovering myself.

The silence I have been enduring is definitely from the enemy.  He's been whispering in my ear saying I'm not qualified to do the things I want to do, amongst other lies he has been inputting into my mind.  It has been a roller coaster in my mind for a LONG time.  During this summer's revival meetings for our church, the Lord has been slowly reminding of how much He loves me.  He's been reminding me that He sees everything thing I do and telling me that He is proud of me.  A couple of months ago I was praying with some precious people in my life and the Lord set me free from past hurts and rejection that I have dealt with for years.  It was such a wonderful feeling.  The following day, I experienced more freedom when the Lord reminded me that I was still trying to please MAN.   (I had gotten upset about something so stupid and I was asking God why I was upset.  He said gently that I was trying pleasing man and not Him).

The mind is where the battle takes place behind the scenes.  We all know this... so many people deal with this issue.  It's absolutely ridiculous and we MUST TAKE CONTROL OVER THE LIES OF THE ENEMY.

I truly know that Sean and I are walking into a new season for our marriage.  This new season is part of our destiny.  One thing that I am going to share has been weighing on my heart to read again.  It's one of those things that you are so glad you highlighted in a book.  I love that God is doing something great in us because what I'm about to share just burns inside me so much.

What makes a bride a bride is that she knows that she stands utterly alone in the eyes of her beloved.  She knows that she is the unique one and the favorite of her husband.  This is why it is so crucial that each heart goes on a personal journey of bridal love.  We each have to stand alone within the fire of His gaze and allow His affections to be deeply personal.  We have to know and feel like the favorite of the Lord, standing utterly alone in His narrow gaze of desire.
Deep Unto Deep by Dana Candler

I love this paragraph from this book.  It's one of my favorite books to read.  It reminds me of how much our God loves us.  I long to be His bride and I long to see His eyes.  I'm so excited for this new season for Sean and I to be more of one unit and be a bride for our Beloved.  God is so good.  It's time to not be silent.  It's time to be loud with our love and loud with our actions for Jesus.  It's a new season of making His name famous.

Road trip

A couple of weekends ago, Sean & I did a secret road trip to Alabama.  One of my best friends got engaged & part of the engagement was to have all of her close friends & family together to celebrate with her & her now fiancĂ©.

What I loved more than anything was being in cooler weather and seeing the leaves change colors.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons & to come home to see some of the changes makes my heart happy.

On this trip I got to see one of my best childhood friends and meet her SON!  It's so weird that we are now old enough to have children.  I don't know if I can get over that.  It was so good to catch up with Bethany & meet little Sawyer.

The crazy part of this particular weekend was that I told Hunter (the fiancĂ©) to keep my friend out of a certain shopping center because that is where we would be & it turned out that my best friend was next door shopping for an outfit while we were eating outside of the restaurant!  I was so thankful she didn't see me because it would have ruined everything that was planned.

Everything did go as planned & now my best friend, Bethany (2 friends named Bethany.. Just thought I would clarify that) & Hunter are now engaged!

I could not be more excited for them! Being there from the beginning; watching this relationship blossom & being there for her through it all has been such an honor.  Going to try on rings to just to see what she likes and get the one she thought she would hate!  Hunter is getting one of the greatest girls I know and Bethany is getting one of the most giving men I have ever met.  They both live to serve each other & it's been so much fun to watch how God has slowly brought everything together for His glory.
This was the best surprise I have ever done & it was so worth the 12 hour drive!!

My favorite is the video of her seeing all of us together waiting to celebrate them!

Love you Bethany & Hunter!

2 years

Yesterday was our 2 year anniversary! I seriously can't believe that we have been married for two years already.  It feels like a lifetime and yet, it doesn't feel like that long at all!  I seriously don't know where I would be without Sean in my life.  I know I would probably be fine single but I do know I would miserable too.  Sean is the best thing that has happened to me.  Marriage isn't always fun or easy but it's a great journey to be on with the person God designs for you.  Sean challenges me all the time.  He helps me get out of my comfort zone & encourages me in everything. Even if I don't want to be encouraged, he still does it.  He's definitely my creative half.  I'm thankful that he dreams BIG so I can I can dream BIGGER.  I really do love this man more than words can say.

Happy Anniversary, my husband!
